Hi there! Thank you for taking the time to learn more about me. First, please call me Katie. My last name, Czerniawski, is pronounced Chern-yow-ski, but a first-name-basis feels appropriate as when working together in the therapeutic partnership.
I am passionate in my belief that everyone deserves to live a life that is meaningful, full of purpose, and enriched by developing a deeper understanding of the self. That is where I believe meaningful change can occur and I can help.
Specializing in working with depression, anxiety, life stressors, as well as grief and loss, I appreciate how various life transitions, such as relationship changes, career transitions, or loss through death and dying, can impact one’s identity, mood, self-esteem, and sense of control. In addition to the important moments of the here and now, I utilize an insight-oriented approach to assist you in gaining a better understanding of how past experiences also shape who we are and how we experience the world. By understanding and releasing old ideas and behaviors, there is room for new ways of thinking, allowing for greater contentment, healthier relationships, and more authentic life journey.
Therapy is a collaborative process and I have been privileged to work with many wonderful people. My style is relaxed, conversational, and focused on your unique needs.
